Made an appointment to get 2 snow tires put on my front wheel drive vehicle. When I showed up they refused to do the work due to some b.s policy of only doing sets of 4 due to liability due to differences in traction as an excuse. Disappointed at wasting my time. Went to Mr.Tire instead. In and out in 20min.
Andrew; As we explained when you stopped in, When installing Studded Snow tires on a Front or All Wheel Drive vehicle our policy is to install 4 studded snow tires and not just 2 on the front. In a panic situation the traction between the front and rear wheels will be vastly different with the Studded tires offering more grip than the rear unstudded tires. This is a safety concern and the liability is not worth the risk for us to install just the front studded tires. We apologize for any inconvenience but in the end we are looking out for your safety as well as the drivers around you.
